Astoria Tool Library

The Astoria Tool Library provides affordable, short-term access to quality hand tools and small power tools—reducing barriers to responsible property care while promoting the preservation of historic buildings and cultural landscapes along the Columbia River. By sharing tools instead of purchasing them for one-time use, residents can repair porches, restore original woodwork, prepare gardens, and maintain homes more sustainably and affordably.

As the library builds its founding collection,
LCPS is actively seeking donations of gently used hand tools and small power tools that support home repair, gardening, and preservation work. Community members are encouraged to bring tools to donate during the Open House and help lay the foundation for this shared resource. All donated tools will be reviewed for safety and mission alignment before being added to the lending collection.

More than a lending program, the Tool Library serves as a hub for skill-sharing, volunteer engagement, and hands-on learning. Through workshops, community gatherings, and partnerships, the library aims to preserve not only structures—but also the practical knowledge, craftsmanship, and traditions that sustain them.

Membership fee is $40/year  ATL Membership application & Waiver Form.pdf
