VIDEO: Color Palettes to the Rescue: Saving Buildings from Demolition, National Center for Preservation Technology and Training. Tania Alam, architectural conservator,  presents research on the evolution of historic paint palettes and how paint color has saved buildings from demolition. 
2013 STUDY OF DOWNTOWN ASTORIA
A 2013 report by Michele Reeves of Civilis Consultants sponsored by Astoria Downtown Historic District Association, Pacific Power, Sunday Market and the City of Astoria. Focuses on activating streetscapes, including a movement away from Astoria's largely beige paint colors.
