  1. View some of Astoria’s oldest homes in the Shively-McClure National Register Historic District
  2. Explore the Heritage Museum exhibit: “This Has Been a Terrible Day” The Great Astoria Fire of 1922
  3. Visit one of Astoria’s many historic churches
  4. Shop in the Astoria Downtown Historic District www.astoriadowntown.com/Shopping.aspx
  5. Go to skate night (Fridays and Saturdays 5-9) and admire the historic Armory Building
  6. Visit the Maritime Memorial Park and locate the Shively Fountain and Ghadar Party Historical Marker
  7. Attend the Fort Astoria sign dedication event on May 7th at Fort George Brewery Lovell Showroom
  8. Visit the Triangle Tavern, the Portway, and Workers Tavern in Uniontown

  10. Admire the newly installed canopy at the Merwyn Apartments next to City Hall
  11. Visit the Columbia River Maritime Museum on May 11th for their 60th birthday party

  21. Embark on a Lower Columbia Preservation Society (LCPS) Walking Tour: The 1922 Fire
  22. Visit the 1926 Doughboy Monument listed on the National Register of Historic Places
  23. See a performance or a movie at one of Astoria’s historic theater buildings
  24. Visit the site of the first U.S. Post Office site west of the Rocky Mountains on the midblock of 15th Street between Franklin and Exchange Streets
  25. Read interpretive panels along the Astoria Riverwalk and learn about the working waterfront
  26. Listen to the LCPS Restoria podcast about the downtown sidewalk vault lights
  27. Go see the newly renovated Columbia River Lightship docked at the Columbia River Maritime Museum
  28. Walk up the 11th Street pigeon steps and get a view of downtown Astoria and the Columbia River
  29. Visit Hillside Cemetery at 14th & Madison Streets and check out its new cedar sign
  30. Explore the “Garden of Surging Waves” and learn about the influence of Chinese workers in Astoria
  31. Hike the Cathedral Tree trail and view the spiral sgraffito frieze on the 1926 Astoria Column
